Dr Sadasivan trained in Psychiatry in the United Kingdom, Mersey deanery rotational training scheme before obtaining membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK). She then moved to Australia where she completed her Fellowship in Psychiatry with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Sadasvian worked in Psychiatry at the Gold Coast University Hospital for 8 years before moving completely to private practice. She was an Associate Professor with Bond University of Medical Sciences where she held the position of Clinical Lead, in charge f medical student clinical posting and training in Psychiatry until 2015.
